We have begun to chase fall into winter on our journey down the AlCan. As we drive first to the northeast and then turn south, autumn is still in motion. In Alaska, fall was fast and furious. The city of Seward declared an emergency with flood levels the highest in recorded history. Our fall season was fleeting; the major flooding and hurricane force winds knocked all the colorful leaves quickly off the trees. As we travel south we hope to catch the fall colors of the Pacific Northwest and perhaps the beginning of winter. For the new beginning of our nomadic life.
